“GOING FOR SURGERY [AT LIMARP] WAS A TERRIFIC EXPERIENCE”

“At my heaviest, I was 321 pounds. I was sluggish, it was hard to move, and getting motivation was really difficult. My back hurt, my knees hurt, my ankles hurt—I was very uncomfortable all the time. My self-esteem was really low”.

I look in the mirror and can’t believe it… I took more weight off than I ever thought I could. I used to be resigned to the fact that I was overweight, now I feel so happy to realize that’s not my life anymore”.

Shannon knew that making the journey together would be life changing: “I feel amazing, and have so much more energy and confidence to do the things we enjoy and dream of doing together! …My overall attitude about eating has changed. I know I’ve found a permanent solution. To me, a lifetime together is more important than how good I look. I did it so we could have more years together”.

After many years of struggling, of losing weight with fad diets only to gain it back plus a few extra pounds every time, Cindy felt discouraged and depressed “while I was a naturally cheerful and social person on the outside, inside I was hurting and very sad”.

Mike found out the hard way that former athletes have an extremely difficult time keeping in shape after joining the workforce, when time to be active is suddenly non-existent.
